A little background info…
My professional path has been shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a genuine commitment to people. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work and/or volunteer in roles as varied as welding and fabrication, IT support, teaching, event coordination, and community engagement. What ties these experiences together is my love of problem-solving and my ability to adapt across different environments. I began my career path in a bicycle shop, where I discovered the satisfaction of hands-on solutions, and went on to working with natural resources on the Columbia River to delivering parcels in NE Portland. I’ve managed multiple home projects, supported federal agencies with large-scale meetings, consulted with businesses and teachers about technology, and contributed to community art projects. Along the way, I’ve maintained all kinds of equipment, guided teams, and created learning experiences that helped others gain confidence and new skills. Every part of my journey has reinforced my belief that versatility and creativity can open doors to meaningful connections and outcomes.
At the center of my work and personal philosophies is a strong focus on customer service and communication. I believe success comes from listening carefully, responding with empathy, and finding solutions that meet people where they are. Whether teaching in a classroom, troubleshooting technology, or welcoming someone into an unfamiliar space, I aim to make every interaction accessible, clear, and encouraging. My Southern upbringing instilled in me the value of treating people with warmth and respect, and my experiences across education, technical fields, and community projects have strengthened my ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds. I see myself as a lifelong learner, always seeking new ways to grow and to bring together creativity, service, and collaboration in the work I do. If my journey resonates with you, I’d love to connect and explore how we might create something meaningful together.
